a pint size travel companion
Her smaller size makes Yoyo an easier and enjoyable travel companion. Compared to parrots, parakeets require a smaller carrier, and she can perch anywhere from inside a car to a bicycle’s handle bar.
“She enjoys tagging along with hubby and me for bicycle rides and loves to take baths. She also loves playing on our bed before bed time and watching the TV with us,” shares Chin.

At 1 year and 9 months, Yoyo has developed a unique personality. According to Chin, Yoyo loves to boss all the cats at home by shouting their names whenever she feels that they are getting naughty.
Since Yoyo is a hand-tamed parakeet and friendly by nature, she enjoys spending time with cats, dogs and humans too. She would perch on someone’s shoulder, arm or hands to snuggle up.
To keep Yoyo in the pink of health, Chin feeds her with commercial seeds and pellets. For snacks, Yoyo favourite bites are sweet corns and bananas.
