Sail with your dog in the world’s first dog cruise in Singapore
Imagine enjoying fine dining on board a cruise with your pooch as both of you look on a golden sunset. Now you can realize that dreamy ‘dogcation’ on board the luxury tall ship Royal Albatross.
According to the ship’s owner and CEO, Mr. Peter Pela, the dog cruise idea started in 2020 with the making of a parody about two dogs “Jack” and “Rose” having a romantic anniversary dinner onboard.
A self-professed avid dog lovers, the team at Royal Albatross envisioned the dinner cruise with a gourmet menu for both the dogs and their humans with the option for their furry friends to dine at the table like any other member of the family.
what is a dog cruise?
Humans and their dogs can expect a memorable dining experience that will take them from Royal Albatross’ berth at Resorts World Sentosa, along Sentosa’s southern beaches and around the Southern Islands on board an actual tall ship. Guests shall enjoy delicious and beautifully presented 3 course meals, with an optional 6 course and wine pairing menu (for humans only), all freshly prepared on-board.
For safety of both dogs and humans, Royal Albatross has partnered with Sunny Chong Dog Training School to make this cruise a reality. The team at Sunny Chong will do a complimentary dog “interview” at the owner’s home before the actual sailing day to ensure the dogs suitability with optional training available if the humans would like their dogs to be seated at the dining table.
The Royal Albatross’ dog cruise is an extension to its human-only romantic dinner cruises that sail from Friday to Sunday every weekend.
